Raise your hats and salute two of our Alumni members who have recently won the Harrington Best TQM Thesis Award; a prestigious Award sponsored and administered by the e-TQM College in conjunction with a number of European partners from The European Universities Network – TQM. Named after one of the World’s best known gurus and thinkers in TQM and related areas, Dr. H. James Harrington, the Award recognizes individual Masters’ students' unique contributions through novel ideas and theories or efforts that can demonstrate best practice applications.

Overwhelmed by the Award, Wafa said: “Researching and writing for my MSc dissertation was a very exciting and beneficial experience, the Harrington Best Thesis Award came as the icing on the cake”.

On the other hand, Nahla explains the scope of her thesis and acknowledges the role of e-TQM College in supporting her: "Job Satisfaction and maintaining employee loyalty, has bee the ultimate goal for many organizations especially, in the booming economy of UAE, in my dissertation I have evaluated the role of Dubai Quality Award in enhancing the above, analyzing the model used with relation to employees' satisfaction, I shall thank the ETQM for their continuous support and wish them all the best for the future".

LCLC News: Meet the Committee Members and Read the Charter

It is the philosophy and policy of the e-TQM College to encourage learners to play a major role in controlling and coordinating the affairs that affect their study and learning experience. For that purpose, the College has initiated a Learners-College Liaison Committee (LCLC) to secure a platform for expressing learners’ opinion and to serve as mechanism for activating the theoretical underpinnings of this philosophy. Whenever possible, the LCLC will be given a chance to have an input in the matters that regulates learners’ life during their enrollment in the College.

Currently, the LCLC is formed with three members representing the MSc Program, as follows:

• Asma Moosa(Representative ofMSc Fall 2006Group)
• Hessa Ruqait (Representative of MSc Spring 2007 Group)
• Safeyya Al Hebsi (Representative of MSc Spring 2007 Group)
