Centre for Arabization and Program Integrity (CAPI)

HBM e-University > Scientific Research & Publishing > CAPI

The Centre for Arabization and Program Integrity (CAPI) was created with the primary purpose of supporting the adaptation of internationally recognized books, programs and learning resources to Arabic with the preservation of content integrity and by ensuring that the intended learning objectives are still achievable. This is in coherence with the objective of making knowledge available to everyone everywhere, especially to Arab learners and/or experts who are in constant hunt for the latest materials and tools to enhance their knowledge and skills.

The translation support targeted by CAPI extends to the constant research and Arabization of the latest books and studies that are of substantial scientific value for Arab learners and practitioners.

Our extensive research for translation correctness, supported by our pool of Arab specialists and Experts from various scientific fields, helps us find the exact terminologies and further develop a glossary for each of these fields, which guarantees the quality of the work while ensuring the uniformity of a project to the next.

For the purpose of Internal Quality Assurance of our Arabization performance, an analytical grid is being adopted for translation correctness and translators performance. This analytical grid allows us to set clear criteria for correctness of a certain translated work based on simple arithmetic; it enables us to see where the weaknesses and strengths lie and evaluate the translation portfolio of each work.

Our main purpose is to become a forum, a gathering arena where the big thoughts intermix and the best practitioners share their expertise for a further enhancement of the Arabic Library, passing on a valuable legacy for future learners and experts in the Arab world.
